Accessibility
Designed toward WCAG 2.2 Level AA, without pretending validation is automatic.
This build includes accessibility focused code and content patterns, but formal conformance can only be claimed after the deployed production site is tested as a whole.
Current targetWCAG 2.2 Level AA is the engineering target for this package. The project does not claim third party certification or guaranteed legal conformance.
Implemented in this build
- Semantic landmarks, one primary heading per static page and a keyboard skip link.
- Visible keyboard focus with high contrast focus indicators.
- Improved minimum interactive target sizes.
- Text alternatives and accessible labels where controls would otherwise be ambiguous.
- Reduced motion support for reveal effects and the reading friction experience.
- Screen reader safe static text in the animated reading experience.
- Color contrast improvements for small orange text and primary calls to action.
- Native dialog elements for modal workflows and live status regions for form feedback.
Known validation requirement
Before a public conformance statement is made, the live site should be tested with automated tools plus manual keyboard navigation, zoom, reflow, screen reader testing and representative user testing. Any connected checkout, authentication or third party experience must be included in that review.
Accessibility feedback
If a user encounters an accessibility barrier, the public contact route is Karl Lillrud’s contact page. Include the page, task, browser and assistive technology when possible.
